Where Does the Inspiration Go?

Above: A great book I'm reading at the moment.

Please excuse my lagging posts of late. Another excuse; but was quite sick over the past week and now am just taking it easy.

On top of that, amid all my thoughts of my impending exchange, I seem to be losing a bit of blogging inspiration.

Tell me, what gets you up and going again?

I've been a lot of soul searching on inspiration myself lately. My best advice is step back until you feel the urge. Read a lot and just ponder the universe.

I agree when I am feeling that way, the best is for myself to also step back and take a break. I hope it comes flowing back quickly for you.

Also many thanks for the book recommendation. I am putting on my list of reads to check out :)

I will heed both of you lovely blogger's advice and take some time off to find that inspiration - I think that sometimes I do feel "obliged" to blog - which almost takes the creativity out, right?

I have been a little inspired today; both of your comments remind me of why I love the blogging community: cry out for help and someone always responds.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I just dont feel like it. Don't force yourself, give yourself a break and when your ready your ready!

I find making bread brings back the urge and the inspiration. Proper fresh yeasty, good kneading and patience for a wonderful thing. A bit like a meditation but with all senses.

oh i hear you bella - when you starting getting stressed about what to post you know its time for time out - because no one is forcing us to do it, so why do we feel the pressure!!! - and you are more than excused for being pre occupied with exchange - JEALOUS!!!! xxx

sometimes ill edit something that ive already written and already like. even if it ends up worse after the changes and i dont save it it helps to get back into the mindset that i was in when i was inspired... also copying something ive drawn.
... or blog sifting and reading other peoples thoughts. =)
that helps too.
