She & Him Second that Emotion

Wonderful pop/folk/old-time-country/awesome-in-their-own-genre singing duo She & Him have released a second album, a Volume Two following on from 2008's Volume One... I'm absolutely overjoyed!

I must mention that the "She" part of the band is the awesomely quirky Zooey Deschanel. And the "He"? M. Ward; a talented singer/songwriter. The two make the perfect music pair. Deschanel's old-world voice matches Ward's original and whimsical tunes.

Instead of defining their genre more, I'll tell you want their music makes me want to do;

• Swing dance.
• Rock on a hammock amongst lush green countryside reading a book with P.
• Bake a wholesome carrot cake and leave it to cool on the windowsill.
  
• Play my life in slow motion.
• Dress up in a 1950's bikini and go surfing with the Beach Boys.
• Kiss.
